Why I started this blog

I wanted to start this blog off last week, since that’s when the school year started. But, since I didn’t, I’m going to start tomorrow to daily blog my experiences. It’ll help me to remember all that took place and I can look back and thank God on what He’s seen me through.

Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! Psalm 107:31

Some may ask why did I choose this name for my blog…well after two attempts of coming up with a name, I decided with this one because I do actually drive a short bus (I didn’t ride one as a child, though!) I drive special needs children (who typically ride short buses) to and from school. I’ve been a driver for 4 years ( as of October) and I was an attendant for 7 years.

I started this blog because of I’ve thought about blogging for a while now because I wanted to write down the experiences I’ve had at my job. I’ve worked at DC Public Schools, in transportation of Special Education students, for almost 11 years (the 11th school year just started) and I’ve seen and experienced many things while I’ve been there. I also (think) I have a unique perspective since I am a Christian and I can share my experiences through my worldview. Also, I can share with others who really don’t know about my job and are interested to know what it all entails.
